To be beheaded probably isn't the worst of death. With the carotid artery severed, there is an immediate sudden loss of blood through backflow. This will likely cause unconsciousness long before cephalic cell death.

30 Days of LSD Microdosing Part 1: Buying LSD Online

In my last post, I wrote about why I have decided to experiment with taking microdoses of LSD for 30 days. Here I’m going to start off by showing how you might get some LSD.

If you live in San Francisco, then getting LSD might be as easy as just paying a visit to the infamous Haight Street. But if you want a better idea of what exactly you’re buying, or aren’t living in San Francisco, then here is the process you might take:

You may have heard of the ‘Darknet’ or ‘Dark Web’ already; the shadowy place where hackers sell Uber accounts and people buy child porn. The first definitely exists, the second is well hidden, and it’s overall just a giant database of websites that aren’t trackable or traceable by normal means. But there is accountability, which means that when you’re buying drugs from one of the dark marketplaces, people will leave reviews and ratings, very much like eBay. So when buying LSD here, it’s highly likely that it will live up to its reviews.

Step One: Download Tor

To get started browsing the darknet, you need to install a separate browser called Tor (normal browsers can’t visit darknet websites). The logo is an onion because darknet websites end in .onion (instead of .com).

Once you’ve downloaded and installed Tor, open the app and you’ll see loading bars as it starts to configure the service (it takes a while to load each time that you use it). I want to mention here that this is a very high-level explanation of these services; it gets a lot more complex and you can do a bunch more things to stop tracking with nodes, etc. But for the basic user, this guide should suffice – click here if you want to enter the rabbit hole.

Step Two: Find the right marketplace

As I mentioned already, what you can buy on the dark web tends to be illegal. Sure, people will sometimes sell handmade soaps and cookies, but generally we’re talking guns, drugs, and forgeries. Which is why a number of websites get taken down pretty regularly, so what I recommend today might not be available in a year.

A good place to start your search is with Grams, a Google-style engine for .onion websites. The URL for Grams is: http://grams7enufi7jmdl.onion/ (again, this won’t work in your normal browser, so you’ll need to copy and paste this URL into Tor).

I’d suggest searching Grams for ‘acid’ (as LSD is sometimes too short a phrase to search for). You’ll get a large number of results with links to different storefronts. Now, I need to explain dark marketplaces a bit more. They range from open – anybody with the URL can use them – to closed, which is where you need a personal referral code. Most will make you create an account, and you register with a made up username and password. Make sure to remember them, there’s no forget password email box here!

DeepDotWeb aggregates marketplace data and warns you about which are doing well, and which have become shady.

Note these two terms: FE and Active Vendor. They’re good to understand.

FE (Finalize Early): This means that funds get released before the transaction is confirmed. This is good for sellers as it reduces risk, but can scam buyers as there’s no recourse if you don’t get purchases. Avoid if you can.

Escrow / Full Escrow: This is ideal as it means your Bitcoins are held by a third party till your transaction is complete. You get the most security this way.

Awesome. But now you need to make sure you can pay for those lovely mind-altering drugs. For this, you’ll need a Bitcoin

Step 3: Set up a Bitcoin wallet

Bitcoin, is, at its most basic, a digital currency; a service that lets you make untraceable online payments. I’ve used a number over the last couple of years, and have lost around $5,000 on one, the Mt. Gox scam. Because of this I’m now a lot more careful of where I choose to put my money, and my current favorite is Coinbase.

It’s free to create an account and you’ll have one in under five minutes. You use your cell phone and email address to register. Now you link this to the account you’ve already created on one of the dark marketplaces. On the darkmarket, go to “add funds” to your account and it will give you a Bitcoin address. Use this to send money through your Coinbase account, and your account on the dark marketplace will be updated. Alternatively, some ask for your Bitcoin address, so you can update your account that way.

Now you can buy items!

Step 4: Prepare with a microdosing toolkit

While I waited for my LSD to arrive, I started getting my space prepared. There are differing opinions online, but the common factor seems to be testing the drugs to check they’re what they promised.

I bought the LSD test plus kit ($17.99) and a glass dropper ($3.99) for taking it.

The goal is to dilute the LSD into distilled water or vodka and then drop it on your tongue. I have lots of vodka, so that part was easy.

Microdosing prep and arrival

I was a little concerned about having the drugs sent to my address, so I used a P.O. Box to get them delivered. Then they arrived at my place in a nondescript envelope.

My first impressions were that the LSD was packaged to look like a SIM card, right down to the piece of paper with detailed instructions. I paid around $16.30 including shipping; the tests and prep tools actually cost more than the drugs! I cut a tiny piece off with a sharp knife and dipped it in the drug solution test (you’re supposed to use plastic gloves, as you shouldn’t handle LSD with your bare hands, but I forgot to buy them, so just used cutlery). The tiny square turned the drug test from clear to red, which confirmed that it was LSD.

I was glad to know it wasn’t a dud. I purchased 120mcg, so I figured that this remaining ~100mcg would last me a couple of days since I’d be starting low and upping my dosage as I got acclimatized.

I’ll update you with my progress as I go on, and let you know if I’ve found this to improve my productivity and creativity.

Ready, steady, dose

Wanna follow along? Over the next month I’ll write a post each week about my energy, productivity levels, and overall mood right here on The Hustle.

At the end of my 30-day experiment I’ll write a recap, which hopefully will become a resource for anyone interested in doing the same.

EXCLUSIVE: Family of 7th Heaven star Stephen Collins fear he's on the brink of suicide over pedophile claims, as stunned former cast member laments 'he was the glue that held us together'

The family of Stephen Collins fear the 7th Heaven star is on the brink of suicide over shocking allegations he molested several underage girls.

The actor, who played a beloved pastor on the hit family friendly show, has been left distraught after his taped confessions made during a marriage therapy session were made public.

Now those closest to the 67-year-old are deeply concerned the star has hit rock bottom and fear he may harm himself.

'His family by no means condone what he's said to have done, but it doesn't stop them worrying about him,' a close family friend told MailOnline.

'They fear he could take his own life. That's how low he is right now. No one wants to leave him by himself.'

His estranged wife Faye Grant has now claimed that Collins even had incestuous thoughts about their only child when she was pregnant.

She says just before giving birth, he told her how glad he was they were having a girl, who they named Kate, instead of a boy who he may have abused.

'The comment you made just before I gave birth to our daughter when you said you hoped we didn't have a little boy, because "you just didn't know if you could keep his little penis out of your mouth" was indication enough that you were sick,' Grant wrote in an email obtained by TMZ.

'I should have followed my gut then, and then again 14 years ago, and kicked your ass to the curb,' she added.

But a source close to Collins told the gossip site that the allegations are 'absolutely untrue,' that he never received that email and Grant never brought these claims up during their contentious divorce proceedings.

According to court papers obtained by MailOnline, Grant is attempting to indemnify herself and the divorce settlement from settlement any civil action stemming from the pediphelia charges.

Ar stake is property worth $13million including over $5 million in real estate and Collins' $100,000 worth of vintage guitars.

On top of that, a Massachusetts woman who worked as a nanny in New York in the 1990s, in the same building as Collins, has come forward to reveal his strange daily visits in pajamas and the 'semi-pornographic novel' he was writing.

The woman named Ilene called into Boston radio station Mix 104.1 Wednesday morning.

The family source says cast and crew of 7th Heaven - the popular long-running family drama which ended in 2007 - are in 'shock' over the bombshell claims.

In an interview with MailOnline, a cast member, who asked not to be identified, said, 'I'm very confused right now. Knowing Stephen the way I do, I find it hard to put this together.

'He wasn't that guy. He wasn't someone with secrets and angst. He was always very present with us. Fun and teasing. All we did is laugh all day long at work and a lot of it was because of him. He's not that guy to me.

'He took care of me and all of us during those years. He really was a father figure. Taught us to read music a little bit and would make up songs for any occasion for us. He was our glue that held us together. Our rock.

'We all had dinner together a few months ago. If this is true, it's disturbing because there was no outside appearance of problems. He never did anything sneaky when I knew him and I saw him every day.

'It must be buried in him. I wish him the best of luck to make it through this. I hope he goes to rehab and comes out the same role model rock star that we know him as.'

Collins, who famously played Reverend Eric Camden, the virtuous father-of-seven, is currently being investigated for child molestation.

An NYPD official confirmed to MailOnline that they had received a complaint and the Special Victims Squad is investigating.

And the LAPD is also reviewing their own 2012 investigation into Collins, and will be collaborating with New York authorities.

Law enforcement in California received the therapy session recordings two years ago but closed their case after finding 'no verified victim'.

In the recorded therapy session, Collins seemingly admits that he exposed himself to several young girls between the ages of 10 and 13 in both Los Angeles and New York.

Following the tapes released by TMZ on Tuesday, Collins life and career have been falling apart as he resigned from his position on the Screen Actors Guild board and was fired from the film Ted 2. Reruns of 7th Heaven are not being broadcast and he will no longer appear on the hit TV show Scandal.

LAPD officers rushed to Tarzana, California, after getting a 911 call about a shot fired inside Collins' house last night. Collins' neighbor, former Playboy model and Baywatch star Donna D'Errico, tweeted just after 8pm PT that the actor shot himself

It turned out to be a false alarm sparked by a member of the media who heard a loud pop

The actor allegedly made a written confession to his now ex-wife Faye Grant in 2012, which sparked the therapy session.

Grant secretly recorded the session under the advisement of her lawyer, who told her it was legal in California to record conversations in order to gather evidence on a person who has committed a violent felony.

And in explosive court documents Grant reveals she was 'sickened' after her husband allegedly confessed to living a vile 'secret life' in which he abused several children.

She claims the actor used his celebrity status to prey on underage girls and 'engender the trust of the families of the children he molested' in a decade of abuse.

Ironically Collins starred in the 1996 Lifetime movie The Babysitter's Seduction in which he played a recently widowed dad who becomes obsessed with his childrens' teenage babysitter, played by Keri Russell.

Devastated Grant also revealed Collins was treated for a sex addiction and was seeing a 'sexual dysfunction' therapist, but he refused to seek proper help or hospitalization for his 'predilection towards children', she said.

"The family feels absolutely betrayed by him. He's not the man they all thought he was and that's incredibly hurtful and confusing,' said the family source.

"With everything that has come to light they fear there could be other victims. There's so much that he has already hidden from everyone he's worked and lived with, they don't know what could come out next. Some are even wondering if he admitted everything he's done on those tapes, or if there's more he's keeping secret.

"The family are mortified and embarrassed. They remain concerned however for Stephen because they now know he has deep seeded issues.”

Yesterday cast and crew of 7th Heaven were said to be reeling over the news.

The family source, who knows several cast members and often visited the 7th Heaven set, said: 'No one had any idea. They had a reunion just last month and everyone loved it.

'There were never any signs Stephen had these issues. No one ever suspected a thing.

'Everyone who has worked with him has said he's amazing and lovely and one of the nicest guys ever.

'It's like the neighbors of the serial killer with bodies buried in the basement who always say, 'He was always such a nice guy'.

'We are all blown away by the revelations.'

Me before you: an infomercial for assisted suicide

Dodge this romantic drama with a depressing pay-off.

SPIKED

Why do we celebrate (and in some places, actively assist) what can only rationally be regarded as a self-centred and cowardly decision to destroy oneself?

The film Me Before You, released last Friday, would have been a fairly standard romantic weepie, except for — SPOILER ALERT — its inclusion of suicide. Will Traynor, a ridiculously rich, successful and stupidly handsome fellow, has an accident that renders him quadriplegic. His mother hires a companion — an annoyingly ditzy, wacky with a capital W, working-class girl, for whom Will would ordinarily be strictly out of bounds — who manages to cheer Will up and, lo, they fall in love. Then Will kills himself. At a Dignitas clinic. Because apparently he is a determined guy. He leaves her some money.

At one level, of course, the film is artistic expression (I use the word artistic loosely), absolutely free to say whatever it wants. Yet the film is not only bad art; it’s also propaganda for the so-called right to die. The author of the novel on which the film is based (and the script), Jo Jo Moyes, continues to protest that it is only about an individual, and that it is not ‘by any means’ sending out a message. But, in the same breath, she insists that ‘unless you put yourself in somebody’s shoes, I think you shouldn’t judge their action’, and says this is about ‘autonomy and choice’.

The sophomoric presentation of the issue at the heart of the film might have been lifted from a GCSE Ethics and Philosophy textbook on the case for the right to die. The family is upset about Will’s decision. Mother tearfully resists and tells him to wait; father is grimly resigned because it’s Will’s decision and he must be able to make it. Girlfriend tearfully upset but finally accepting. All accept his decision and are at Will’s deathbed at Dignitas’s beautiful Swiss chalet (in reality, it is a grim house in a Swiss industrial park).

The protests by disabled people outside cinemas showing Me Before You are completely understandable. Will’s rejection of his life, his refusal to live hampered by disability, is a direct insult to those who do so every day. The film presents Will as determined and courageous, belying the fact that disabled people struggle and suffer with lives beset by disabilities, choosing to live. Which is more courageous — to die, to be defeated by one’s disabilities, to bail out; or to continue suffering and battling past whatever barriers are put in the way, to continue to live?

No one seems to know any more. This is why this same plotline features in so many TV and filmic dramas. Real suicides are usually tragic, often sordid and always awful. But suicide as a plot device allows the author to weigh the value of continued existence against the ends that the character killing him or herself seeks.

What is weighed up in these modern dramas about assisted suicide? On one scale, Will’s life is mere existence, increasingly meaningless, adrift, dependent on others, helpless, pointless, isolated, and devoid of any pleasure. On the other scale are the last vestiges of his social existence, his being as a son, lover, and friend. Me Before You is the opposite of life-affirming; it reassures the audience that giving up is okay. It’s the equivalent of George Bailey jumping into the icy waters and everyone standing around saying ‘Yeah, nice one, mate’, somewhat changing the end of It’s a Wonderful Life.

Such a view perverts the relationship between the individual and his community and indicates the erosion of a general moral sense of right and wrong. Paradoxically, suicide must be an option if a community is to be made up of free individuals, but the community has an interest in preventing the purposeful destruction of any of its members, no matter that the killer and victim are one and the same. Contra Moyes’ sentiments, we must judge whether the taking of a life is understandable in the circumstances, whether it is praiseworthy or blameworthy. But it is a good general rule that killing — even oneself — is wrong.

These dramas highlight the fact that no one seems sure that human existence is worth it. Few seem confident enough to assert moral rules; there is no more right and wrong, only ‘right for you’ and ‘right for me’.

In the end, films like this tap into the anxiety and uncertainty that many feel about the future. What if I was paralysed? Would I want to die? Moyes mentioned that she was inspired to write the book after hearing about the case of Daniel James, the paralysed rugby player who killed himself at Dignitas a few years ago.

More inspiring but less well-known is the example of Matt Hampson, who was paralysed from the neck down 11 years ago. He told his father that the injury would make him a better person. Matt didn’t believe that himself at first, but said last year that he is beginning to believe it after launching the Matt Hampson Foundation, which helps people with life-altering injuries.

Instead of paying money to see a mediocre infomercial for the right to die, why not donate that money to the Matt Hampson Foundation instead?

N.J. woman headed to prison for penis enlargement death

By Bill Wichert | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com November 10, 2015 at 8:14

NEWARK -- Before Kasia Rivera was sentenced on Monday to five years in state prison for conducting a fatal penis enlargement procedure in 2011, her attorney, Olubukola Adetula, said she has "accepted responsibity for her actions" and wanted to "move on with the rest of her life."

Essex County Assistant Prosecutor William Neafsey, however, said Rivera may want to move on with her life, but "we still have a man that died."

"A man died because of her recklessness," said Neafsey, adding that "she had no business sticking needles into anyone, specifically sticking a needle into a man's penis."

Rivera, 38, of East Orange, received the five-year prison term after having pleaded guilty on Sept. 8 to a reckless manslaughter charge in connection with the May 2011 death of Justin Street, 22, also of East Orange. Prosecutors recommended the five-year sentence under a plea deal.

Under the sentence handed down by Superior Court Judge John Zunic, Rivera must serve slightly more than four years before becoming eligible for parole. She will receive credit for nearly eight months of time served.

Rivera declined to make a statement during Monday's hearing.

In pleading guilty, Rivera admitted to injecting silicone into Street's penis when he visited her home on Glenwood Avenue in East Orange. The silicone was not the kind used in medical procedures, authorities said.

Authorities have said the injection shot directly into Street's bloodstream, shutting down his organs, and he died as a result the following day. A medical examiner later determined Street died from a silicone embolism, and his death was ruled a homicide, authorities said.

At the time of her guilty plea, Rivera acknowledged she was not trained as a medical doctor and she was neither trained nor licensed to administer the silicone injection.

Rivera, who had worked as a bartender in Irvington, could be deported to her native Jamaica as a result of her guilty plea, authorities said.

During Monday's hearing, Adetula noted how Rivera had been cooperative in the investigation. Adetula said Rivera surrendered to the police when she knew authorities were looking for her, and she provided a statement to detectives about her role in the incident.

Rivera had been preparing to go on trial in May, but the trial was postponed due to alleged jury tampering while jury selection was under way.

At that time, three jurors said they were approached on May 8 by a man associated with Rivera about influencing the outcome of the trial. Two of the jurors said they were offered bribes of $5,000.

One of those two jurors said he gave his phone number to the man and later received three calls from a woman whom he believed to be Rivera.

At a May 12 hearing, Superior Court Judge Ronald Wigler heard those allegations while interviewing 20 prospective jurors individually. The judge then dismissed all of the jurors from serving on the trial.

Wigler found Rivera was complicit in the attempt to improperly influence the potential jury, revoked her bail and remanded her to the Essex County Correctional Facility.

When she pleaded guilty on Sept. 8, Rivera said she did not participate in the alleged tampering scheme.

Rivera claimed the man, whom she described as a friend, had acted alone in approaching the jurors, and that she didn't ask him to approach the jurors or encourage him to do so.

While the case was still pending, Rivera also was charged in unrelated cases with possession of a stun gun and injecting silicone into another woman's buttocks and breasts up to four times. Under the plea agreement, the charges related to those cases have been dismissed.

Trade and the migration crisis

It may seem strange that when the European economies are beginning to show signs of recovery, especially in Spain and France, the EU heads of state continue to treat the refugee crisis with a ‘fortress Europe mindset’. Political expediency seems to be stronger than other issues that need to be addressed to deal with the migration problem in a far more pragmatic way than the US and the EU itself have done so far.

In the last few years we have seen many EU member states viewing the large-scale migration from Africa and the Middle East as a threat to the sovereignty of their national and regional borders.

The result has been a fragmented strategy in dealing with the flow of migrants to the EU.

EU political leaders are facing an increasingly frustrated electorate that could see a further shift from traditional political parties. Some political are adopting tactics based on offering aid to African countries, especially Libya, in return for better policing of North African borders to prevent desperate migrant from Africa attempting to cross over to Europe.

Unfortunately, there is a lack of meaningful analysis by the media, if not also by politicians, on the different facets of the migration issue in Europe. No wonder ordinary people and maverick politicians of the right and the left are blaming migration to Europe for all that is not functioning in the Union.

Let us try to dismantle some misconceptions about this phenomenon. The migrants from Africa are not just refugees and asylum seekers escaping terror in their own countries.

The EU has every moral and political interest to help African countries grow their economies through trade

Many are economic migrants that want a better life for themselves and their children as most African economies continue to underperform for a number of reasons. They will do all it takes to improve their status even if it means risking their lives.

Thanks to modern communications, poor African people view Europe as a rich continent.

There is nothing new in this as history has thought us that the same phenomenon happened over a hundred years ago with migrants from an impoverished Europe sought better fortunes in the US, Australia, Canada and the UK.

However much bad news we hear from the EU economic front, Europe remains in the eyes of most African people a land of prosperity that could bring many advantages to those families who risk it all to enter the EU.

Many have already done so as the EU’s demographic problems are beginning to show that without migration of skilled workers from Africa and other under-developed countries, some important economic and social functions in the EU would fail for lack of staff.

Poverty in African countries, brought about by civil strife, global warming, corrupt leadership, poor educational and health systems, and an inadequate infrastructure have made life for millions of African people unbearable.

But the long-term solution to this problem is not to build more barriers to prevent people from crossing over even if in the short-term the sheer scale of the migration crisis make it necessary to guarantee ordinary people in Europe security in their own countries.

While it is conceivable that most EU governments are more concerned about the immediate strain on welfare services, perceived competition over jobs, the strengthening of internal security, and the possible impact on social cohesion, the EU needs to move to the next stage to resolve this migration crisis.

While legal and illegal migration will persist, the long-term solution must be found in Africa itself. The EU has every economic, moral and political interest to help African countries grow their economies through trade.

To do this it needs to work with organisations like the IMF and the World Bank and with African countries to build a solid infrastructure that today is missing.

Immediate attention needs to be given to improving education standards in Africa with more importance given to vocational education, upgrading of the health system to ensure that en-demic illnesses like Aids are reduced to more manageable levels, assistance to fight corruption at all levels of African business, the strengthening of African financial and legal institutions, and investment in the physical infrastructure of roads and other means of communication.

It will take a whole generation to implement these changes in our relations with African countries. So, if EU leaders focus on the latest opinion polls, they will not commit to the benefits of engaging with African countries in the long term.

NATO Lawmakers Warn Global Warming Will Trigger Food Shortages

Lawmakers from nations in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are warning that global warming will lead to mass migration and conflict in the Middle East and Africa, another reason President Donald Trump should stay in the Paris climate deal.

Climate change will lead to “dire” food and water shortages in the region, according to a draft report presented Monday to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Acting as the “ultimate threat multiplier” after decades of resource mismanagement in the region, extreme weather and rising seas would likely lead to volatile food prices and increased competition, according to the report by Osman Askin, a member of the Turkish Parliament.

His country is host to more than 3 million refugees and asylum seekers, according to the report, and the surge in migration in Europe in recent years was a key reason for the U.K. voting to leave the European Union. Migration was an important plank of Trump’s presidential campaign last year, and he pledged to build a wall along the 1,900-mile (3,050-kilometer) U.S.-Mexico border.

The report, to be discussed this week in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, urges all 146 countries that have ratified the Paris Agreement to “live up to their pledges,” including providing climate finance for developing countries.

Trump, who will attend his first meeting with leaders of the Group of Seven Countries this week, has threatened to pull the U.S. out of the Paris Accord, end climate financing and is reviewing the Clean Power Plan -- a key policy for cutting pollution introduced by his predecessor Barack Obama. He’s postponed a decision and it’s now expected by the end of May.

The report adds to pressure from Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, along with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who have been urging the president to remain in the Paris deal. Several of Trump’s top advisers are pushing for an exit, including chief strategist Stephen Bannon and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt.
